My Native Studies class and I went fishing/goose hunting, for fishing we got everything together so that we are prepared for whatever, than afterwards we made our plans and our location for fishing. When we went fishing we went to my friend Devon Garson’s creek right by his house. The kind of fishing that we did was snare and spear fishing. After no luck of fishing at the creek we all went fishing at Red Rose, just right outside of Fisher River. Fishing there, we had lots of luck, we caught about 8-9 fish, but we only kept about 2 because we only have to take what we need. Now as for goose hunting, my class and I went up to Hecla Island. Before going there we had to plan and prepared as well, such as where we are going, how to get there, what we need (blinds decoys, ammo, guns, first aid etc.). When we went there we caught about 8 geese and gave most of them away to elders. Another place we went hunting was at Fishing Bay, there we only caught … nothing ! lol, We had shot one goose and let it sit to die because it was still alive, little did we know that it wasn’t shot right, by the time we looked back at it to see where it was it was gone. So no luck in Fisher Bay (sadly) . But yeah , that’s about it.
